DOWN/C.O.C. Guitarist To Join CROWBAR?
July 30, 2003DOWN/C.O.C. guitaristPepper Keenan will be in New Orleans during the recording sessions for CROWBAR's seventh studio album, tentatively titled "You Don't Need An Enemy To Have A War", and there is a "slight chance" he will join the band as their new guitarist, according to a post on CROWBAR's official web site.
As previously reported, CROWBAR entered the studio this past Monday (July 28) to begin tracking the effort for a late 2003 release through Spitfire Records. Warren Riker (DOWN) and PANTERA/DOWN bassist Rex Brown are handling the production duties on the album, which will feature Brown on bass and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's Craig Nunenmacher on drums. Nunenmacher is no stranger to the CROWBAR camp, having played in the group in the early '90s before leaving the band following the completion of 1995's "Time Heals Nothing". CROWBAR's last studio album, "Sonic Excess In Its Purest Form", was released in 2001.
